Past Success

2002

CVMCanada started helping Wellington Orphanage (WO) in Sierra Leone with food, clothing, and other essentials and set them up with a poultry flock. The Wellington Orphanage is doing well and the children are growing up. Most of the children are now in secondary school and some have even started university. Praise the Lord!

2003

The Sierra Leone Poultry Project was initiated as a pilot project with the purpose of overcoming the challenges of setting up a poultry industry for low income farmers in Sierra Leone.

2008

Broiler flocks were predominantly raised until high feed prices and the importing of inexpensive American chicken made our broilers very uneconomical. As a result, our project took quite a financial hit because we did not want our farmers to suffer from this loss. Since then we have started to raise layer flocks which are more profitable.

Another orphanage, Network for Children in Need (NCN) was brought to our attention last year. They were destitute like WO was seven years ago. They now have a better building to live in and their conditions are improving.

Present

We are dealing with great challenges in the world’s poorest country but we have an almighty God who knows that the harvest is plentiful. We are continuing in faith, expecting success in our work so that many needy people will be able to earn a sustainable income and that many more may come know Christ as their Savior.
